Federal Mandates EO 13423, sec. 2(f), ii: “15% of the existing Federal capital asset building inventory of the agency as of the end of fiscal year 2015 incorporates the sustainable practices in the Guiding Principles.” Options: EB-1 comply all guiding principles listed in the EO 13423 EB-2 initiate 3 rd party certification process prior to Oct 1, 2008 AND get the certification developed by ANSI-accredited organization. Green Building Certification – Existing VA Buildings Status Green Building Certifications VA has –2 office buildings (LEED-NC) LEED-O&M (campus) and GG –2 VA Medical Centers (application submitted) 19 VA Hospitals started Green Globe Certification in FY-09 Sustainable Building Assessment completed in May, 2009
