IntroductionIntroduction Radio club “Zemun” exist over 50 years. In the year 1989. Several people founded radio section YU1AVA, in little village named Ugrinovci. Our QTH locator is KN04CV, DXCC country is Yugoslavia, CQ zone 15 and ITU 28.

Who we are???? As you see before, we are located in small village named Ugrinovci (10.000 inhabitants). We are situated abt. 20 km west of Belgrade, a capital city of Serbia and Yugoslavia. Most people work and go to school in Belgrade. Also, we are close to International Airport Belgrade, and “border” between YU1 (Serbia) and YU7 (Vojvodina) is just 500m out of our QTH.

Our members As any other ham organization, we have our chief. It is Milorad Balesevic YU1GU, technician. He confirmed more than 280 DXCC, and over 20 years operator. Zrinko Zibert 4N1DX is one of young people from Radio club who is future of YU HAM activity. He is very good HF/VHF operator, with nice results in domestic and WW contests.4N1DX Jovan Petrovic YT1WP is a nice man with good italiano and russian language. Several Italians called him “professore d’ Italiano… … Dragan Djekanovic YU1GE was one of our founder. At the moment he is not too active but he help us when we need him.

Rest of our members don’t have their call sign. Sava Tepsic (ex YU1OLS) is older Ham radioamateur. With several people in Yugoslavia he made first experiments with SSTV. He is not active operator, but he help when we have a problems with antennas, electricity… Sinisa and Srecko Tepsic are Sava’s sons. They continue ham tradition in his family. Sinisa is also one of YU ARDF TEAM. He has several nice places in Yugoslavia in ARDF. Zlatko Stojic is also young student who like HAM radio, and he help also in Radio section. Our members II

Our equipment were stolen… In october 1999. our equipment were stolen, HF Yaesu FT 101ZD, HF YAESU FT DX400, VHF YAESU FT221RD and HF receiver BC320 (WW II). After several months we found FT101ZD and BC receiver under local bridge in water. Unfortunately, BC was total damaged but we tried to repaire FT 101ZD because our HF activity was on that transceiver. Milorad YU1GU made everything what he know, and now FT101ZD work on 80 and 40m. Very soon in the future we will be active again in all bands, so…see you on the air…

All qso’s are confirmed via bureau, and Gena UX5UO printed QSL’s for this special activity. An image of YZ75AVA qsl card, and some photos and qsl’s you can find in our photo album.photo album
