2 Looking Five Times Two (or Ten Times Two for older students) Use this image or another one for this activity. Project this image for the students to view. 1. Look at the image quietly for 30 seconds. Let your eyes wander. 2. List or say 5 words or phrases about any aspect of the artwork. 3. Repeat 1 and 2: Look at the image again and try to add 5 more words or phrases to you list. 4. Discuss.

3 I See/I Think/I Wonder Use this image or another one for this activity. Project this image for the students to view. 1. What do you see? 2. What do you think about that? 3. What does it make you wonder? 4. Discuss.

4 Beginning/Middle/End (upper elementary) Use this image or another one for this activity. Project this image for the students to view. 1. If this artwork is the beginning of a story, what might happen next? 2. If this artwork is the middle of a story, what might have happened before? 3. What might be about to happen? 4. If this artwork is the end of a story, what might the story be? Discuss.
