10 Lesson Plan Teacher Objective: To facilitate, monitor, and redirect all students during stations to ensure students are modeling proper form and technique for mastery using equipment properly. Student Objective: I will read and follow station task cards with body control for mastery of skill, clean my station and rotate in numerical order when the music stops. (5 minutes) Introductory Activity: Center circle of gym (Parietal Lobe) – problem-solving area Instructions for the lesson/Review/Apply prior knowledge/Establish any new procedures (Teams) (15 Minutes)Developmental Activity: Stations 1-6 + ABC Pathway Mat=7 (4 students per station) ( 7 X 2 minutes 10 seconds = 15 minutes) Clean up and Transition Time between stations Station 1: Building the Framework for Learning (Coordination) Station 2: Integrating Senses (Feeling) Station 3: Vestibular Development (Balance) Station 4: Visual-Motor Control (Legs, Arms) Station 5: Visual Tracking Ocular Pursuit (Focus & Concentration) Station 6: Higher Level Thinking - (Thinking, speaking and moving in unison) (3 Minutes)Water Break (5 minutes)Applied Activity/Language Objective: I will identify a movement activity with an object and match it to one of the station titles: Today, I ………. using a ………which helped me improve my ……

11 4 Week Plan Week 1 – Day one- Set expectations –Establish teams. Team one always begins at Station one and so on. Intro Stations and how to rotate when music stops. Begin Progression 1, if students do not complete all stations, have them start over on Day 2. You want to make sure they are following procedures and demonstrating your movement expectations. Day 2 & 3 - Progression 1 Day 4 – Progression 2 Week 2 – Monday – Progression 2/3 depending on how the students performed. Have equipment for Progression 3 available at the station numbers if you need to change them out based on grade level and student ability. Tuesday Progression 3 / 4, Wednesday Progression 4, Thursday, Progression 5 (if students are ready) Week 3 – Monday and Tuesday, Progression 5 &/or 6, Wednesday and Thursday Progression 6 &/or 7 Week 4 – Monday and Tuesday, Progression 7 &/or 8, Wednesday Progression 9, Thursday Progression 10. The goal is to master each progression before moving on to the next progression. If your class does not complete all progressions it simply means they were not ready to move on.
