2 Introduction  Nigeria as we know is blessed with abundant human and natural resources. A huge number of these resources are yet untapped. Young inventors are everywhere, uncelebrated.

3 Introduction  We have abundant local producers without the enabling environment to lunch and market their products and services, the painful part of the whole situation is that the foreign product and services we all clamour for and celebrate are still locally produced in this country with the same, and sometimes higher quality. The mentality of: Once it is made in Nigeria, it has a low quality has clouded the minds of almost every consumer. This is about to change.

4 Introduction  In the words of President Goodluck Jonathan (2014). “Our preference for foreign goods is damaging the economy through importation which must stop for the economy to grow. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/jonathan-tasks-nigerians- over-locally-produced-goods/103987/

5 Introduction  “We must encourage what we have. Other countries that became great did not wake up one day and become great. If you look at the history of a country like China at a time they closed their door and restructured everything, begin to think again and by the time they opened their doors, the rest is known by all of us. For us as a nation to move forward we must also tame our exotic taste. Some of the things we bring from outside is not even as good as what we even have within our country.”  - president Goodluck Jonathan (2014)
