1 Senior Trip 2016

2  Lost Valley Ranch, Deckers, CO  Horseback riding in the beautiful Rocky Mountains to challenge all riding abilities from novice to expert  Hiking, hot tubs, basketball, volleyball, field games, tennis, trap shooting (extra fee), hayrides, campfire etc.  Fishing (stream and a small lake).  Three full meals per day (all you can eat).  Excellent service in a Christ-like manner

3  Check in and begin loading sometime after 6:00 pm, Saturday, April 2  The bus will leave no earlier than 7:30 pm  Check in at Lost Valley Ranch by 4:30 pm, Sunday, April 3  Lost Valley Ranch 29555 Goose Creek Road Sedalia, CO 80135 (303) 647-2311  Check out at 9:30 am, Friday, April 8  Arrive at Shiloh between 1 & 2 am Saturday, April 9

23  We represent the Lord Jesus Christ, Shiloh Christian School, Cross Church, our Families and Ourselves  We will allow our actions and attitudes to bring honor to those that have placed their trust in us.

24  Immediate response from sponsors  Referral upon return to SCS

25  Gambling: items of value or money  Non-Conformity to dress code  Inappropriate display of public affection  Inappropriate use of electronic devices  Inappropriate use of a knife  Assisting another student in the planning or commission of a Class I Offense.  Any other violation which the class sponsors or principal may reasonably deem to fall within this category.

26  Immediate and appropriate discipline measure while on the Senior Trip  Student may be sent home by airline at the parent’s expense  A discipline referral will be turned in upon our return to SCS which could warrant a suspension from school from 1-10 days.

27  Defiance of authority  Intentionally providing false information to the sponsors  Possession of tobacco products  Assault or battery on a student  Unjustified activation of fire alarm or extinguisher  Use of an obscene gestures  Fighting  Disruption on a mode of transportation

28  Inciting student behavior  Malicious mischief  Unauthorized absence from a senior trip event  Use of profane or obscene language  Assisting another student in the planning or commission of a Class II offense  Any other violation that the sponsors or principal may reasonably deem to fall within this category

29  The student may not be able to walk at graduation  The senior may be sent home via airplane (parent’s expense)  The senior may be expelled without warning

30  Drugs and alcohol - This includes counterfeit drugs, diet pills, prescription drugs not prescribed to you, etc.  Arson  Directing obscene or profane language to a school employee  Assault or battery upon a school employee  Possession of a weapon or ammunition (includes air guns, paint guns, or ammo)  Possession and/or igniting fireworks or firecrackers  Theft of property

31  Sexual acts  Obstinate resistance to authority  Vandalism  Being in the cabin of the opposite sex (decks are not legal)  Being out of your cabin during curfew hours unless with a sponsor on approved activities  Assisting another student with the planning or commission of a class III offense  Any other violation that the sponsors or principal may reasonably deem to fall within this category

33  Buses will load at Kidz Inc.  All Students must check in with Mrs. Breeding or Miss Miller before 6:00 pm  Once you check in you must remain near the bus  Seating is on a first-come basis - you may not reserve seats for others.

34  One piece of luggage no bigger than 36” long and/or tall;  we do not have room for trunks  a second piece of luggage will be allowed from smallest to largest until we run out of room  All luggage must be labeled with your cabin name (__________________). There is a laundry on site.  You may bring one carry-on that must fit under the seat. A small ice chest that will fit under your own seat is ok…Prefer several people go together.

35  Carry what you will want for Colorado Springs for Sunday in your carry- on…pillow, blanket, light jacket, heavier jacket, rain coat, hat, gloves, personal toiletry items...everything you might need to spend the morning outside in 20-50 degree weather.  We will not be able to get to your luggage underneath once it is loaded.

36  Please complete medical release form  Place a photo copy of your student’s insurance card on the medical release

37  Signatures of a parent/guardian and the senior student need be on the notice  Please go over the behavioral notice with your senior

38  3 or more buddy system  Sign-in and sign-out for the hiking trails  Check-in times: dinner and devotions  Check-out Walkie-Talkies before hike

39  Two dollars for ever minute that your senior is late

40  Appropriate clothing for each activity  Clothing on the bus needs to be appropriate for an overnight trip  Modest one piece for girls and boxer style for guys  Coin operated laundry machines are available

41  Each student will have their own bed  Student will pick their own roommates  Same gender visitation in the cabins is allowed by invitation and the agreement of all the rooms occupants  Mixed gender visitation in any part of the cabins is prohibited  Non-SCS visitors are never allowed  Curfew 12:00 A.M. - 6:00 A.M.

42  Pay phones located in the lobby  Messages may be left at the office  Cell phones may not work at the ranch

43  We will report immediately any damage to our rooms, ranch or transportation  We will have a room inventory list for each cabin. Each cabin or student is responsible for any damage or missing items

44  Nightly devotions  Led by Mr. Breeding

45  Each student may bring one piece of luggage that is no larger than 36” in any dimension; no trunks  You may bring a second piece of luggage if we have room  All luggage must have cabin name  A carry-on is allowed if it fits under your seat  Take everything that you will need in Colorado Springs for Sunday mourning. You will not have access to you suitcases that are packed under the bus.  Pillows, coats and blankets will be allowed in the overhead storage.  Fishing poles must be stored in a tube under the bus.
