3 OEI Goals Significantly increase CCC student transfer to 4-year institutions; Increase student completion by system collaboration in providing access to quality online courses and support services for students, faculty, and colleges; Create economies of scale in resource and technology acquisition ($8,000,000 yearly savings on CMS infrastructure alone).

4 Completion by…. 1.Keeping students in the seats we have. ----- Prepared students ----- Prepared faculty ----- Quality course design and content resources 2.Providing resources to colleges to allow for the addition of quality online courses 3.Providing students with opportunities to take classes when and where they need them

6 There are three levels of opportunity for participation in the OEI.

7 OEI Purchase of Canvas 65 colleges have submitted applications 47 are in migration progress Some important items to note – OEI is currently paying 100% cost until 2018-19 when it will eithercontinue at 100% or drop to OEI paying 2/3 of the cost via ongoinggrant funding. – If OEI pays, colleges may choose to have more than one CMS only ifthey pay the OEI contracted price for Canvas, otherwise collegeshave some migration time but must use Canvas as sole CMS. CMS – 24/7 Help desk for Canvas is included – Migration resources are available. available – Faculty Resources are available, too. available, too.
