4 The historical significance  General Percival discussed with Sir Shenton the idea of surrendering Singapore to the Japanese and the Fullerton Building became the headquarters for the Japanese Military Administration in Singapore  Received Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List Award and the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s architectural heritage award, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore  Became a Historic Hotels Worldwide in 2011  This site honors the traditions of the past by keeping the royal coat of arms on its doorway

9 The impact on Singapore This site impacted Singapore greatly by becoming a fort against naval attackers, a post office sending information around the world, one of Singapore’s greatest 5-star hotel and a Historic World Heritage hotel.

10 How the site has changed This site has been a military administration, a fort, and a post office always changing at every moment, but the spirit of Fullerton resided in every one of these transformations.

11 What I learned Something interesting I learned while researching this site was that the tunnel under Fullerton Rd was used for transporting mail onto ships waiting in the harbor
