2 Definition of Domestic Abuse ‘Any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality. This can encompass, but is not limited to, the following types of abuse; psychological, physical, sexual, financial, and emotional’. This also includes so called honour based violence, female genital mutilation and forced marriage.’

3 Strategy & Business Plan Considerable progress made on actions identified in the 2013-15 Business Plan around the themes of: - Prevention & Early Intervention - Provision - Protection - Participation A number of work areas to be continued and progressed along with developing new actions from the 2015-17 Business Plan (currently in draft form)

4 Healthy Relationships Project Bespoke Awareness raising publicity materials for Bolton and other targeted campaigns Young Person’s Violence Advisor Children Safeguarding Board & Community Safety Partnership joint working: DAV Practitioners Handbook and Referral Pathways Domestic Abuse and Violence Partnership Domestic Abuse and Violence Practitioners Forum IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) Project (GPs) 4 Domestic Homicide Reviews – 1 completed in full and with sign-off from the Home Office Work commenced and to be continued

5 New Developments for 2015-17 To develop and deliver on: Project Encompass Pilot (supporting schools) Troubled Families Phase 2 (Complex Dependency) Targeted work with BAMER and other marginalised Groups Domestic Abuse and Violence multi-agency training programme Strengthen links with Adult Safeguarding – ‘adults at risk’ Comprehensive performance framework for Domestic Abuse and Violence

8 How to Refer Pets Service – via telephone, email, a referral will be taken and information on the animal asked. IDVA – via the marac process only Safehaven – referral form that can be sent out via email YPDVA – referral form for low to medium risk young people and via the marac process for high risk victims
