2. Morning Announcements
Morning announcements will continue this year.
Beginning with fourth grade
Announcements will begin promptly after the tardy bell rings
Each morning the following will be announced:
Tanglewood BEAR Rules
Tanglewood Pledge
Word of the Week
Pledge of Allegiance

3. Staff Recognition
Students will enter staff name into the drawing. One name will be announced every morning during announcements. (Same as last year)
At the end of the month one of the staff members from the month will receive a treat! 

4. Staff Recognition Rewards
September: Duty free lunch
October: Order out for lunch
November: Leave 30 minutes early
December: Dress down (Mon. – Thurs. pick the day)
January: Duty free lunch
February – Order out for lunch
March: Leave 30 minutes early
April: Dress down
May: Duty free lunch

5. Individual Student Recognition
Gold Coins
Goal of 3 coins per day for the following:
Attendance: No Tardy or Early Dismissal
Homework: If all assignments are complete and turned in on time the student will earn 1 coin.
Social Skill Area: Monitor the area being taught for the 2 week period and students earn 1 coin for proper behavior in that area.
*Note: Students may earn coins each day for outstanding behavior as well as the areas listed above. Staff will need to continue to pass out coins to other classrooms when they see good behavior.

7. Individual Incentives
Any student who has earned their goal for the month will get to participate in the following activities on the listed dates.

8. Individual Incentives
One teacher per grade will keep the students who have not met their goal for the month.
Students MUST complete work during this time (DO NOT play games!)
The teacher who keeps the students will rotate each incentive. Develop a schedule among your team.
The other teachers will monitor the students receiving the incentive.
Students who did not meet their goal will keep their coins they have earned to use toward the next goal.
Students who receive the incentive will start back at zero working toward their next goal.

9. Resource Teachers
Each resource teacher will be given 200 coins to label.

Music -M
Art -A
These coins must be returned to the resource teacher every two weeks.
**How?: Create a trading system in your classroom to represent a certain amount of coins.

10. BE CREATIVE!  In The Classroom Create a trading system.
Example: 5 gold coins earns a unifix cube.
Develop a communication plan for the parents.
Example: Calendar to list the amount of coins the student has earned daily.
Find a place to store students individual coins.
Example: pencil pouch, ziploc bags, plastic containers, etc.
Teach the PBIS lessons daily (refer to schedule)
Post the Matrix in your classroom
BE CREATIVE! 

11. Before School Starts Teachers need to collect student chains/charms
Boxes of chains/charms will be located in the conference room separated by grade level. Find your new kiddos!
Get your coins!

13. Matrix Lessons
Every teacher should have their lessons from last year in the notebook. (New teachers will need to get copies from their team).
Lessons will be taught for a 2 week period.
Lessons may be taught during your Science/Social Studies Block.
Schedule will be sent out for school year. Look for it in your .
