Alternative Forms of Professional Development In addition to time, there are often costs associated with professional development events that make it challenging for some to attend Are there other ways that we could offer professional development for lower/no costs? 8. Professional Development College (PDC) Modules The Executive Committee is already looking at many additional modules for the PDC. 9. Summary The ASCCC hopes to make all of its PD offerings the best faculty development available. ASCCC is exploring new ways to offer PD that are more flexible and cost less The Professional Development College will be adding new modules each year that anyone can access at any time As workloads continue to increase, it is important that we offer PD in a way that doesn’t increase burnout.
