7 It makes learning more engaging  Different learning styles can be met  New experiences lead to better cognitive understanding  It develops an interest in the environment and wider surroundings

8 It makes learning relevant  Abstract concepts become real  learning in a real life context allows children to associate the content with their own experiences

9 It can nurture creativity and imagination  Allows children to learn in role  Cross curricular nature

10 What are some issues of outside learning should be considered?  Can be too disorganised  Certain activities can prevent experiences being enjoyed  Outdoor learning may not be associated with units of work

11 Why Abington park?

12 Low cost  Free to access area  Only transportation costs need to be considered

13 It is close  Promotes local pride  Familiar enough to address any phobias of new places  Reduced travel times

14 It is a great space that:  Is safe and secure  Has wide open spaces  Has essential facilities  Has natural performance areas that link in with our activities
