Harun Yahya and his followers do not accept evolution as it is not clearly and explicitly described in the Qur’an. Yahya points to fossils of crabs and shrimps that are millions of years old, yet are the same as the animals we see today and that Adam was created by Allah from clay (so without parents). "God is the One Who created the heavens, the earth and what is between them in six periods.“ (Surah 32:4) Sunni belief holds that all creation was made by Allah. The length of time of the creation of the world is not clear as we can not understand time from the point of view if the creator. Animal evolution can be accepted, but humans have a soul and a relationship with Allah as his Khalifahs. Therefore they reject human evolution, firmly supporting Adamic decent

(Surah 21:30) “A good deed done to an animal is like a good deed done to a human being, while an act of cruelty to an animal is as bad as cruelty to a human being,” Hadith “He who takes pity even on a sparrow and spares its life, God will be merciful to him on the Day of Judgement” Hadith Of the cattle are some for burden and some for meat: eat what Allah hath provided for you (Surah 6:142) "...And do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption." (Surah, 2:60) "And it is He (God) who has made you successors (khala'ifa) upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] that He may try you through what He has given you’’ (Surah 6:165). "And Allah has sent down rain from the sky and given life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness (Surah 16:65) And Allah has Created every animal from water; of them are some creeping on their bellies; some walk on two legs; and some on four. Allah Creates what He wills: for sure Allah has Power over all things. (Surah24:45)
