4 Explanation of Problem

5 Variables/ Definition of Participants 20, 4 to 5 year old students; Working on Achieving Excellence and Academic Growth 3 Groups: 1.9 students who are exceling in school-Julissa, Sophia, Skyla, Kristy, Oscar, Felix, Israel, Delilah, and Angelo. 2.6 students who are doing average in school-Saxon, Jasmin, Noemi, Noah, Tatianna and Laura. 3. 5 students who are below the academic level of a preschool-Carime, Troy, Isabel, Alex and Hailey.

7 RESEARCH QUESTIONS WHAT DOES PARENT INVOLVEMENT MEAN TO YOU ? WHAT ARE SOME ACTIVITIES TO BETTER GET PARENTS INVOLVED IN THEIR CHILD’S EDUCATION? DOES THE WAY PARENTS INTERACT WITH THEIR STUDENTS AFFECT THEIR PROGRESS IN SCHOOL?

10 INTERVENTION/INNOVATION FAMILY ACTIVITES IS A START!

13 TIMELINE -Phase 1 -Parent Consent to monthly intervention project -Phase 2 - Pass out Weekly Family Activities -Phase 3- Families work on short activity daily no longer then 15minutes -Phase 4- Students turn in family activities to be assessed and evaluated -Phase 5- Record is kept for a month & at the end of the monthly intervention; families will receive fun incentives for participating.
