3 4x4 – four classes each semester each earning up to1 credit Opportunity to earn 32 credits during four years of high school on the block Cannot start slow and expect to “play catch up.” Attendance is crucial (1 day = 2 days) only allowed 5 unexcused days You need 24 of the RIGHT credits to graduate 4x4 Block

4 IGP is a Working Document Once a year it will be reviewed and updated Primary Purpose: Where you have been, where you are going Other Important Documents: Student Transcript Ensure it is accurate Will follow your student after high school Student Schedule Card Ensure it is filled out properly and turned into the Counseling Office Verify that courses selected match with chosen Area of Concentration and Post-Secondary plans Individual Graduation Plan (IGP)

5 One Diploma with TWO different tracks All students are currently following LA CORE 4 End of 10 th grade may choose to follow BASIC CORE What does this mean for you? LA CORE 4 & BASIC CORE Diploma

6 LA CORE 4 Complete 4 units of each CORE area 2 units of Foreign Language Unit of Fine Arts BASIC CORE Complete 4 units in English and Math Complete 3 units of Science and Social Studies Complete an Area of Concentration LA CORE 4 & BASIC CORE Diploma

8 Log-in to the Power School Parent Portal (Username and Password have NOT changed) Complete the Registration Process (directions to follow) Print the registration screen and both Student and Parent must sign and turn into 8 th Grade Counselor If IGP is not completed Student Scheduling Priority will be redacted WFHS Registration Process

9 Click on “Class Registration” to begin the process…

10 The around the check mark indicates those courses are pre-selected or will be selected for you; there is nothing you need to do. WFHS Registration Process

11 Click on the Pencil to schedule Classes with the red !, which indicates you have not completed this area. Repeat this until you have a for each option! WFHS Registration Process

12 When you click on the Pencil a pop-up screen will appear. Choose the elective that you requesting and then click Okay in the bottom right hand corner. WFHS Registration Process Don’t forget there are 2 PAGES to choose from!!!

13 Once all of the ! exclamation marks show the then click SUBMIT. WFHS Registration Process

14 Once you have submitted your request, read this statement, print this page, sign and turn into the 8 th Grade Counselor. WFHS Registration Process
