Motherboard A PC motherboard is a printed circuit board used in laptops and personal computers. It is also known as the mainboard or planar board and occasionally abbreviated to mobo or MB. The term mainboard is also used for the main circuit board in this and other electronic devices.

Motherboard

Motherboard The most important component on a motherboard is the chipset. It often consists of two components or chips known as the Northbridge and Southbridge The northbridge, also known as the memory controller hub (MCH) in Intel systems The Southbridge, also known as the I/O Controller Hub (ICH) in Intel systemsI/OICH

Microprocessor A microprocessor is a programmable digital electronic component that incorporates the functions of a central processing unit (CPU) on a single semi- conducting integrated circuit (IC).

RAM Random access memory (usually known by its acronym, RAM) is a type of computer data storage

RAM Static random access memory (SRAM) is a type of semiconductor memory where the word static indicates that it, unlike dynamic RAM (DRAM), does not need to be periodically refreshed, as SRAM uses a bistable latching circuitry to store each bit. However, SRAM is still volatile in the (conventional) sense that data is lost when powered down. Dynamic random access memory (DRAM) is a type of random access memory that stores each bit of data in a separate capacitor within an integrated circuit

RAM SDRAM means synchronous dynamic random access memory which is a type of solid state computer memory DDR SDRAM or double data rate synchronous dynamic random access memory is a class of memory integrated circuit used in computers. it doubles the transfer rate without increasing the frequency of the memory bus. DDR2 SDRAM or double-data- rate two synchronous dynamic random access memory DDR3 SDRAM or double- data-rate three synchronous dynamic random access memory is a random access memory A DIMM, or dual in-line memory module, comprises a series of random access memory integrated circuits 1 Module of 128Mb NEC SD-RAM Two types of DIMMs: a 168-pin SDRAM module (top) and a 184-pin DDR SDRAM module (bottom). A 512 MiB DDR2 533 module with DDR2 is a 240-pin module

Hard Disk A hard disk drive (HDD), commonly referred to as a hard drive, hard disk or fixed disk drive, is a non-volatile storage device which stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotating platters with magnetic surfaces.

POWER SUPPLY A computer power supply unit (Computer PSU) is the component that supplies power to a computer. More specifically, a power supply is typically designed to convert 100-120 V (North America and Japan) or 220-240 V (Europe, Asia and Australia) AC power from the mains to usable low- voltage DC power for the internal components of the computer.

Monitor A computer display monitor, usually called simply a monitor, is a piece of electrical equipment which displays viewable images generated by a computer without producing a permanent record.

CD/DVD

Keyboard Keyboard - a device to input text and characters by depressing buttons (referred to as keys), similar to a typewriter.

Mouse A mouse (plural mice or mouses) functions as a pointing device by detecting two-dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface. Physically, a mouse consists of a small case, held under one of the user's hands, with one or more buttons. It sometimes features other elements, such as "wheels", which allow the user to perform various system-dependent operations, or extra buttons or features can add more control or dimensional input. The mouse's motion typically translates into the motion of a pointer on a display. A trackball is a pointing device consisting of a ball housed in a socket containing sensors to detect rotation of the ball about two axes—like an upside-down mouse with an exposed protruding ball.
