1. Green Thumbs Project for Reshomile Primary School Hosted By The Gift of Joy for Mandela Day 2016

2. About The Project Reshomile Primary School in Diepsloot gives all the students a meal for lunch at the school. Mostly this will be the only meal some children receives in a day. The school rely on food donations in order to make lunch for the kids. The Gift of Joy would like to ensure that the school has a year round supply of fresh vegetables thus ensuring the kids receive a nutritious meal.

3. We Need Your Help Reshomile Primary School has ample space available for a vegetable garden. As one of The Gift of Joy Mandela Day Project we would like to make use of the grounds. The ground needs to be cleared, prepped for planting. Further more we will need all the following equipment in order for the garden to be maintained: -JoJo water tanks -Gardening Equipment's, pit forks, spades, rakes, wheelbarrow, garden hoses -Seedlings, seeds, seedling trays -Compost -Experienced Gardeners -Recycled 2 ltr cold drink bottles

4. Corporate Social Responsibility The Gift of Joy is a BBBEE SED Verified Supplier. Thus giving corporates who would like to contribute to the Green Thumbs Project an opportunity to support a good cause whilst easily earning BBEE points. How you can contribute: -Make a financial contribution towards the Project -Offer your time and skills -Donate any of the required items needed for the vegetable garden Each Corporate who makes a contribution towards the Green Thumbs Project will receive a certificate of Appreciation, The Gift of Joy will do an special Mandela Day News Letter in which all sponsors and those who contributed will be given special thanks, this letter is sent out to more than a 1000 people and companies on our data base, marketing will also be done on all social media platforms to give the sponsors maximum exposure of their contribution made.

5. Make this a team building event Bring your friends, work colleagues and make this a team building event for a good cause. Due to the amount of work that needs to be done we will run the Green Thumbs Project over a period of days starting on the 11 th July until The 16 th July. Register your Company as one of the teams to take part in the Green Thumbs Projects. How To Register: -Send an email to Nicky; nicky@tgoj.org to request a registration form.nicky@tgoj.org -A fee of R 350 per candidate will apply, The fee will cater for beverages, lunch for each candidate. Each Candidate will also receive a T-Shirt and a certificate. -A limited amount of candidates of 20 per day -As The Gift of Joy is BBBEE Verified SED beneficiary, you can obtain BBBEE points for taking part in the Green Thumbs Project.
