17. Contd. INDOT plans to have more than 3,100 overhead signs inspected in the next six years. (515/yr) The new contract has the provision for maintenance and repairs. Use a new method on selected structures

18. Contd. Inspection over live traffic: (a new method) Save INDOT time and money since lane closures don’t have to happen (Savings up to 40% on some structures). The new method is safer than the old one. Workers used to close down lanes and create longer work zones, putting them right up against speeding traffic. The new method eliminates that and makes it safer for everyone.
