Stringing Manual Part 3: Bottom String One way to string a stick By Devin Clifford 11/08

Create the pocket Lightly wet the mesh. With the butt end of a stick, pound the mesh where you like the pocket to be. Untie the bottom sidewall strings, pull tight again and retie the knots.

Pulling in the bottom Making it legal depth Knot the bottom string (12inch) Put the string up through the middle hole of the bottom of the head. Pull the string down through the outside hole in the bottom of the head.

Connecting the mesh Skip 1-2 holes in the mesh from the sidewall. Put the bottom string front to back through the mesh. o You can put the bottom string through either the 9 or 10 hole row.

Loop through the bottom row of the mesh Loop through the bottom row of mesh, weaving in and out in a pattern. There’s no special way for this, just make sure its symmetrical.

Finishing the bottom string Put the string up through the outside hole, down through the inside hole, and knot. Pull the string tight enough to keep the stick legal o Expect some stretching of the pocket o If the pocket is too deep, move the string up a row in the mesh. o If the pocket seems too shallow, move it down a mesh row.

Inside view looks like this
