4 HIT Scenario 1 Project – Provider Order Entry System Location – Community Hospital Scope – –300 beds, –1000 physicians, –5000 nurses, –3000 staff. –All patient related orders will be entered by providers. 9 HIT Scenario 6 Project – Change Financial Vendors Location – Hospital Scope – The new vendor has been identified and contract negations are under way. You have been requested to head the project team for building and implementation of the new product. Features of the system have been decided on by another committee. You will need to build your team from the current personnel on the financial teams. These people will be split between the current system and the new system.
