2. About the Novel The novel we are studying a few weeks ago is base on racism, about a 16 years old boy who moved in to the country also to do with school, Zack has trouble organizing his life. One day he found an ancient box while digging holes and found out the box was over 200 years old, owner of the box Paw pine. Zack was curious why his mother never tell him anything from her side of the family. The box inspired Zack to travel to Mississippi to find his unknown grandfather. While Zack’s parents were going to the 10 days trip to the blues festival Zack took his 10 days trip to Mississippi and wore a mask over himself, lying to his grandfather that his name was Mike.

3. About the Novel (2) Before Zack left, he told him his real Identity, Etta’s son, Zack. After, Zack left and return home a few days later Lucas decided to “ visit “ Zack and apologize to Etta for his wrong doing in the past, how he hated whites and that she married one. Etta didn’t say anything in return, He feels more remorseful for their dispute. Hoping Etta will forgive him and left without a word… Before Zack left, he told him his real Identity, Etta’s son, Zack. 4. Modes and Media Before doing our projects, Diane (MJ’s friend) taught us the meaning about modes and media. We can do our Projects in many different ways, Visual with pictures, using words, acting it out and lots more. I learned that people have their own thoughts if they look at a picture than having captions besides it. One picture can have a millions of meanings, and I believe with words you have one way of thinking it. So for my project I would like to present it Visual, and let people have their own thoughts what’s happening in the picture. Other people have their different ways presenting it, I’m glad that MJ lets us present what ever ways we want as long as we get the idea. =)

5. My Favourites If you are curious about my favourite parts and I enjoyed, this is what this slide is all about. Remember, I did my parts in Visual so hopefully the pictures pops in your head. There are 3 images on the poster I drew for my parts. 1) First picture, I liked how William Bell describing that food wasn’t the only thing on the Menu when Zack’s family went over to his grandparent’s house for dinner, they were there to talk about Zack’s school work, so Zack was the main point in the menu. =]

6. My Favourites ( 2 ) 2) When Zack was at the park with Jen’s cousin and friends, Kristen ( Jen’s cousin ) was being un- respectful to Zack, expressing that she hates black people. I’m glad that Zack just walked away and not getting into a fight with anyone. I know how Zack feels when it comes to bullying, I get bullied myself lots of times… 3) The last picture is when Zack was in Mississippi cat fishing with his grandfather. What I found interesting about that part is that I never knew you cat fish at night and there’s different kinds of cat fish. Also, I bet it was a lot of fun cat fishing with your grandfather. =)

7. What I thought…In the End Story that's so far After when Lucas left, no body ask him to stay or anything, he just left without a word… I think Zack’s parent will go to Mississippi to visit Lucas, since Zack and Jen Toronto to study, and maybe go cat fishing! :D I think Zack’s parent will go to Mississippi to visit Lucas, since Zack and Jen Toronto to study, and maybe go cat fishing! :D
