8 Applying for Financial Aid To receive any LMU funding you must apply for financial aid Do not wait for an admission decision to apply for financial aid!

9 Step 1: Complete the FAFSA Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) January 1, 2007 thru March 2, 2007 On-line or Paper Application PIN Signatures – Student & one Parent Estimate Information Review Responses from Department of Ed.

10 Step 2: Complete the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form  Cal Grant GPA Verification Form  California Residents Check with High School for GPA Verification Process Complete and mail by March 2, 2007 www.calgrant.org Entitlement Awards as Freshman

11 Step 3: Complete the CSS Profile CSS/Financial Aid Profile Register via internet or call CSS to obtain custom application Complete custom application Required by many private institutions in the U.S. and at LMU Registration Guide in packet to help with this process

12 Step 4: Submit Tax Returns Parent 2006 Federal Income Tax Return Student 2006 Federal Income Tax Return All schedules All W-2 Signed by tax filer or tax prepares Non-Filing Statement for those who do not file a return – available on our website DUE BY APRIL 1, 2007--PLAN AHEAD!!
