7 What do our residents want? Pool Heating to cater for increase in older residents Dedicated rehabilitation areas Increased hours particularly early AM and late evening More opportunities for teenagers Ancillary services (playgrounds, gym equipment, water parks) Keep all pools open

9 Discussion Many of our pools were built 50-60 years ago for a specific purpose, is the current infrastructure meeting the demands of our community? Can public pool owners afford to construct new purpose built aquatic infrastructure within each small community? Will we see more small town pools close as upgrades/reconstruction becomes too expensive to justify?
