3 Create Course Access Create course menu option under Courses menu Course Editor – Enter Unique Course code, Course Name, Description and Save. Leaver all other properties as defaulted. 4 Add a module/Lesson Create a lesson – right click on module Name Select ‘Add Lesson’ option Create a lesson – right click on module Name Select ‘Add Lesson’ option

5 Select lesson type For adding a external content like embed tags or iframe select lesson type – Online Editor Click start

6 Add embed tag Copy the embed tag from the external site Online Editor window – Click source button and paste the code. Save Copy the embed tag from the external site Online Editor window – Click source button and paste the code. Save

7 Change Lesson property Go to lesson Properties Enable option – ‘External Html content’ Save Go to lesson Properties Enable option – ‘External Html content’ Save Select external html option

8 Preview Course Preview the Course using Editor preview button. Course Launches – Video lesson will start, User can go back by using ‘Close and Continue’ button. 9 Embed url http/https When External content site supports https : From embed url link remove http: or https: from the beginning, use the url like – “//www.youtube.com/embed/aaa. When External content site doesn’t support https : Embed url link “http:/www.youtube.com/embed/aaa”, some browsers may not load the embedded content and you will get a Mixed Content warning. make necessary setting change in the browser. 10 Lesson 2 You can put your streaming media (FLV or MP4) on amazon Cloudfront and create lessons by pointing video urls to amazon's hosted URL. Enter amazon cloudfront url of the media file, which is generally of this format (the bolded part represents your cloudfront domain) rtmp://s29n3szeqh56lh.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/mp4:avDemos/V15- TestEditor.mp4 (for mp4 files, you will have to prefix the file path in your S3 bucket with mp4:) rtmp://s29n3szeqh56lh.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/avDemos/Demo1.flv This process is common to other third party Video Streaming providers (such as Dyyno, Onstream) as well as long as they provide RTMP streaming. 11 Add lesson 2 Create lesson in course editor using lesson type – “Upload documents and optional videos” Click start

12 Place Urls of external media file In Video/Audio tab – Option 2 “ Link to a file hosted on external media server” – Place third party url of media file. For playing this lesson in ipad enter HLS url for m3u8 file in second box. save In Video/Audio tab – Option 2 “ Link to a file hosted on external media server” – Place third party url of media file. 14 Lesson 3 Upload a video on Edubrite, Supported format FLV and MP4. You can also upload WMV and MOV, edubrite converts them to mp4. For ipad videos are delivered using Http Live Streaming (HLS) method, using m3u8 file. Edubrite provided an option to re encode videos in edubrite’s recommended video settings. 15 Add Lesson 3 Create lesson in course editor using lesson type – “Upload Video” Click start

16 Upload video file Drag-Drop video file - Drag video file from explorer to Video/Audio tab area, If area color changes to yellow that means you can drop the file.

17 File upload complete File upload completed

18 Video ready for preview You can preview video once re encoding is done ( check the message – ready to view) Same way lesson can be played on ipad once video converted for ipad. Reencode option is provided to convert to reencode video in recommended settings. 21 Lesson 5 – using URL of the video from Vimeo Add a new lesson Select lesson type as “vimeo video link” Add a new lesson Select lesson type as “vimeo video link” Click start
