3. The Blackboard is a Learning Management System. It will give you a learning environment and course management system. Blackboard is a tool that allows faculty to add resources for students to access online. i.e. PowerPoint, Captivate, video, audio, animation, and other applications are created outside of Blackboard and added into Blackboard courses for students to enhance teaching and learning efforts. Its main purposes are To add e-learning elements to courses To deliver trainings in face-to-face and through online meetings. Blackboard is also used as a delivery mechanism for online Instructions/Notifications, etc.

4.  Blackboard is available on two platforms. Web & Mobile.  Accessible by Web anywhere & anytime.  Accessible from your mobile and all portable devices anywhere & anytime.

7.  Find the Tools box on the home page after you log in  Click on the - Personal Information  Change your password

8.  A course consists of the course menu and a content frame. The course menu links to content and tools and the content frame displays the feature you select.

9.  Announcements are typically the information associated to the Blackboard Activity.  School Announcement/Information i.e. Time Table, Attendance, Course Outline, SRB etc. are published for students reference  Course related information like study material, assessment (test/quiz), Blogs, discussion board are published.

10.  Announcement available  Test, survey, or assignment available  Assignment submitted  Attempt edited  Course Content item available  Gradable item, test, survey, or assignment due or past due  Grade cleared - the attempt was removed from the Grade Center

11.  Assignments – Your instructor provides you all the information and you need to complete the assignment.  Tests and Surveys – Tests/Quiz/Survey are used to assess your knowledge.  Your instructor assigns point values to questions in the test. Your answers are submitted for grading.  Students can see the Grades/Marks from My Grade Option

12.  A user will find it convenient to locate the particular e- resources relevant to his/her area of interest and get the information to access particular e-resource.  To Access this resource Student need to use Wi-Fi credentials.

14. Download Blackboard application from App-Market and search institute by typing “45L1UY”. You can access Blackboard from your mobile. It gives all users access to courses, contents and organizations on a variety of mobile devices including Android™, iPhone®, iPod touch®, iPad®, BlackBerry® and Palm® webOS™. - powered devices. 15.  Blackboard provides many great features that allow you to access your grades, content and communication tools. As a student, you are able to view class handouts, tests, and discussions that are provided by your instructor.  Blackboard allows you to view handouts, review tests, see the progress of your tasks, and more in order to enhance your learning experience at SVKM.  Blackboard allows you to assist and collaborate with others to enhance your course experience; added content helps reinforce course concepts; and practice exams can be posted by your instructor to enhance your study skills. It maintains proper communication channel between Students and faculty. Blackboard is available wherever you have access to a computer: at home, on campus, in an internet café and even abroad means easily available. Time Saving It saves paper wastage.
