Bachelor of Science information technology (BscIT) is a modern course
That combines conceptual knowledge in key disciplinary areas with strong technical knowledge required for workplace performance. 
Covers both technical and theoretical issues relating to the development, management and maintenance of IS and applications.

To develop an understanding of the role of information flow systems in various organizations, how new systems are conceived, designed, developed, implemented and evaluated;
To achieve practical experience with computers, and to develop skills in software and database development

6. Entry Requirements
KCSE mean grade C+ with a minimum of C in Mathematics and English,
A-level with 2 principal passes and 1 subsidiary pass, plus O-level 6 credits which should include Math’s and English.
Diploma from recognized institutions e.g. IMIS and BTEC or DBIT or any other equivalent qualification

7. DURATION
The Bachelor of Science information technology course shall be offered in 8 semesters plus 8 weeks(2 months) of industrial attachment. This is equivalent to 4 years of study.
However this period can be shortened to three calendar years by registering for three trimesters in a year
