2 Overview of BITM @OUM The program is concern to understand the underlying principles of computing and management The program is unique as it offers a double major in the degree. The breadth of the program and the range of skills which it provides have been proven to be attractive to employers in a wide variety of industries The program designed to produce graduates who are competent and knowledgeable in the discipline, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to critically analyse business problems and develop creative and innovative enterprise solutions.

11 Target Group Administration Staff Support Staff Fresh School Leavers Diploma Holders (in any field) OR ANYONE interested to pursue their career in Information Technology & Management

12 Duration 4 ½ years (14 semesters) Three intakes per year (Jan, May, Sept) Those with credit transfer could save 1-4 semesters

13 Career Prospects The programme has been designed to equip graduates with the necessary knowledge in management and information technology. Carrear options: System Administration, Systems/Business Consultant, Application Developer, Database/System Administrator, System/Business/ Technology/Data Analyst, Programmer, e-commerce specialist

14 Entry Requirements Normal Entry Passed SPM/SPMV/MCE or equivalent with credit in Mathematics and passed STPM/HSC or equivalent with at least 2 principals (CGPA 2.00); OR Passed a recognized Matriculation / Foundation in relevant field with minimum CGPA 2.0 with credits in Mathematics; OR Passed a recognized Diploma or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Systems / Information Technology / Software Engineering with minimum CGPA 2.5 (CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be accepted subject to rigorous internal review process); OR Passed any other recognized Diploma with CGPA 2.5 and credit in Mathematics in SPM. OR Flexible Entry Malaysian Citizen AND Be at least 21 years old on 1st of January (application year); AND Passed at least PMR or equivalent; AND Posess prior learning experience and / or knowledge relevant to the programme applied; AND Passed Flexible Entry Assessment;

15 How To Apply? 1.Complete the OUM application form at http://fastrac.oum.edu.my/ 2. Submit 2 sets of certified IC, all academic certificates and transcripts. 3. Processing fee of RM30.00 (Undergraduate programmes) or RM50.00 (Postgraduate programmes) will be debited to student account.
