Colorado POE Officer Scope of Authority Article 8 of Title 42, Colorado Revised Statutes Law enforcement officers with specific authority to “restrain and detain” while enforcing size and weight restrictions, permitting, commercial motor carrier registration, 72 hour permits (temporary registration), special revocable permits, harvest permits, collection of specific ownership tax on special mobile machinery, dyed fuel violations, health and brand paperwork.
