1 AMENDMENT XIX The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

4 Lizzie Neblett  Lived in the mid 1800’s in southern America.  Married at the age of 19.  Believed that romantic love would solve all her problems.  Lived a life of sadness and regret.  She felt helpless and unable to change
