Key Questions What is the most cost efficient way to heat and insulate a house? Seal gaps in the walls will help with drafts and use insulation to seal heat in (seal the walls and roof because that’s where most of the heat escapes) and by 5 star energy pumps because they don’t use as much money to run example: fujistufujistu

Different types of insulations Types to insulation for the walls and roof Foam insulation- foam is very light but it is very good for insulation the down side though if your house catches on fire it will burn down quicker but it is a good money efficient choice and it is permanent and does not sag (only used for roofs and walls) ($1.25-2.25 per square meter) Pink Batts- Pink Batts are a fluffy but itchy insulation material they store heat and they block the heat I would know I have Pink Batts (only used for roof sand walls) ($10 per square meter) Insulation rock wool blankets- they can be 30mm-100mm And it is dust proof(can only be imported from other countries minimum amount is 2000 square meters)

Different types of insulation Part 2 Types of insulation for the floor Fiberglass insulation Wool insulation Polystyrene insulation Concrete slab insulation Hot water cylinder wrap

Most cost efficient heat pumps Energy Star- Because they’re more efficient, an ENERGY STAR heat pump could also save you $150 a year on running costs compared to standard models. Solar heating- If you use solar heating it would be good because it will save you a lot of money in the winter because all of the heat in summer but solar heating might not be enough so like I said before get a energy star heat pump for the times when you run out of sun( the average solar panel system will cost $7-9 (USA currency) per watt) Gas pumps- if you are running a gas pump use natural gas instead of the gas from the petrol station because ($1.25 per litre)

Most cost efficient heat pumps part 2 Hot water heat pump- this is a very handy heat pump you pour water in it and it heats it in about 2-1 minutes these pumps are used in the USA they cost $100 (USA currency) Squidoo heat pumps- these pumps use solar power to run them they cost a bit to install but after they could save you lots of money

Energy saving Lights- if we all turn off our lights when we are not using them the country could save 32 million dollars a year now that’s a lot Insulation- if you use the energy star heat pumps you could save up to $10 on your energy bill insulation- if we use insulation we will have less sick people because of colds/flu

Energy saving part 2 Curtains-buy curtains that go down to the ground and close them before dark and that will help keep the heat in

Why we NEED insulation!!!!! Sickness is a crisis in all homes but we can stop it with these tips!!!!! insulation will help all sorts of lung problems, such as asthma, COPD, ie bronchitis, emphysema, allergies such as hay fever croup for kids, common cold, flu, even pneumonia and it is the mould that builds up over time that can make these illnesses more intense and more contagious
