10 At the National Office - Everything is about our members  We must communicate - with members and leadership  Newsletter  Email  Individual contacts  We assist in providing member benefits  Scholarships  Recognition Awards  We provide individual assistance to members in support of the chapters for  Presidents  Vice Presidents / President Elects  Membership Chairs/Treasurers  Recognition Chairs

11 But… If we don’t have the correct contact information … we can’t do our job for our members Here is what you can do to help us serve our members…  Complete the online form for your new members  Update your chapter officers when they change  Check members’ addresses and emails when submitting your membership reports

12 Membership Reporting:  Membership Dues are collected from October 1 – August 31  The membership numbers submitted by February 1 are used to determine the number of delegates that the chapter will send to the National Council meeting.  Membership Campaign materials are emailed out in October to the individual designated in the Chapter Officer Update.

13 Membership Reporting:  National dues for members are $40 for renewals, $45 for new members and $200 for life members.  Please follow the detailed instructions included with the membership campaign materials (reduces errors)  Please attempt to get emails for life members  Remove members who are deceased  Please be sure the number of renewals and new members on the member list matches the number and dollars submitted on the Dues Submission Form  If you have questions – please call … we are happy to assist you!

14 Reimbursements from National ESP ESP reimburses for the following:  JCEP Leadership Conference - $300 / Chapter  Scholarships  PILD  Administrator Leader  Angus Professional Development  McKinney Public Issues  National Conference Delegates  National Committee Members  Professional Development Mini-Grants All reimbursements must be requested using the online form on the ESP website. Documents must be scanned and attached to the online form. The guidelines and requirements for reimbursements are found in the ESP Handbook also found on the ESP Website.

15 ESP Scholarship/Grant Application Process.......  All Scholarship applications are done online  Applications have requirements – check the handbook  Be sure to follow word limitations  Be sure letters of support are submitted – supervisor, administrator, president as required  Meet deadlines – this includes the letters of support  When the application is properly submitted the applicant will receive a copy of the application by email within a few minutes  To be eligible must have dues paid current and past year

16 ESP Recognition Application Process.......  All Regional/National Recognition applications are done online  Recognition applications have requirements – check the handbook to be sure you meet the all of the requirements  Be sure to follow word limitations for each entry  Be sure letters of support are submitted – supervisor, administrator, president as required  Meet deadlines – late applications are not accepted  When the application is properly submitted the applicant will receive a copy of the application by email within a few minutes  To be eligible must have dues paid current and past year

17 Recognition Awards – the Process:  Chapters may choose to use the online system for chapter recognition  If chapters do not use the system they will have to enter their Regional/National Applications for consideration  All chapters must submit a National Recognition Submission form to identify the applicants to be considered for recognition.  Applications submitted online will be forwarded to the chapter recognition chair as identified by the Chapter Officer Update information
