2. A great majority of our students have an idea of what the benefits of reducing, reusing and recyling are.

9. 62% of the students declared they use biodegradable bags to carry the products bought in the supermarket. And 38% said they use all kinds of bags. We must emphasize that one year ago in our town, the use of biodegradable bags was implemented. Plastic bags are no longer provided for free.

17. Most of the students are aware that our school is participating in a recycling program. ACTIVE PARTICIPATION is highlighted. Moreover, many students also refer to the playground Cleaning Campaign, in which paper and plastic is separated and recycled…as well as collecting bottle plastic caps.

20. The activity in which a greater number of students are able to participate in, is the recycling of second-hand clothes. Although, there is also a significant number of students who would participate actively in a recycling workshop and they would visit a recycling facility. 8% said it would also be important to recycle technological waste. Finally, 2% think there should be an installation of light bulb recycling bins.

23. The pupils’ answers highlighted the fact that they have knowledge about the protection of the environment, recycling, reducing and reusing, but their knowledge is only theoretical and they don’t put it into practice. When it comes to their private life they rarely recycle, reduce or reuse. They were involved in a few recycling activities in school but these are not enough to create in them a pro- ecological behavior. They are willing to get involved in a new recycling activity and are open to any suggestions. Therefore, the theme of our project proves to be an interesting theme for them, an opportunity to put into practice what they already know.
