3 B. Review: 1. regular chromosomes = autosomes 2. Sex chromosomes = non- autosomes; contain genes that influence development of becoming male/female

4 C. Inheritance Pattern: 1. genes can still be dominant, recessive, codominant, etc. 2. Females get two copies of the genes because females have two X chromosomes.

5 3. males get only one copy of each gene because they only have one X chromosome (from mom) 4. if the gene is on the y chromosome (y-linked) males get one copy (from dad) and females do not get the gene at all. 5. passage of sex chromosomes:
