Pictures! Pictures! A revised Unit Leadership Training Award. Leaders learn from other leaders, so this award will allow Units to talk about what they are doing to grow leaders. 7

The leadership committee will be developing several more parts to your Leadership courses. We will be working on a civility component, how to build teamwork, and mentoring. Be sure your Unit has up-to-date resources and that members know how to use them. 8

We can help our junior members by letting them plan service projects, Veterans Parties, work with their friends when volunteering. Offer ideas as a start and always be there to assist them. Encourage junior members to reach out to public service officials. (policemen, firemen, etc.) Many of them are Veterans Partner with other organizations such as OMK and National Clown Association. Two organizations that work with our Veterans and Military families. Always let them know they have done a good job. This will keep them interested and wanting to do more with our Junior Activities program. re 34

ALA Girls State/Girls Nation National E-Unit  Working in tandem with the membership committee.  Investigating options to charter in the Department of Indiana.  Core team of experienced ALA members to serve in leadership roles.  Open to any Girls State citizen from any department.  Function as an e-unit to allow women to participate and enjoy the benefits of membership regardless of location. Purpose of E-Unit  Easy opportunity to sign up young women who share a common interest.  Structure activities to align with needs of the GS/GN demographic group. 39
