3 Why MOOC-Eds? All the changes in education require opportunities for teachers and administrators to update their knowledge, skills and professional practices. Resources for PD are very limited in most places. Traditional “sit and listen” approaches are not effective; principles of effective PD are known. Educators need a chance to learn in the ways they are asked to teach. Personalized, accessible, effective, scalable PD is essential for successful school reforms.

We are just beginning to learn how to optimize MOOC-Eds as scalable, effective PD.
