Curriculum Links and Wider Learning Exploration and enquiry in history, geography, science, PE, PSHE and RE Inspiration for literacy, art and drama Introduction to ecology and conservation Development of social/life skills and values Good preparation for transition to senior school Opportunities for independence and collaboration

3 Seale-Hayne Manor Accommodation just outside Newton Abbot A charitable/educational trust on a large site with play/recreation opportunities

4 Accommodation and Food Children will be in rooms of two with standard single beds. Hot and cold options for breakfast, a packed lunch and hot dinners. Allergies and dietary requirements will be catered for.

8 Buckland Abbey Home of Sir Francis Drake A tour of the Abbey, viewing the Tudor artefacts on display and learning about its famous occupants Letterboxing trail

9 Plymouth The Barbican Plymouth Hoe Smeaton’s Tower

10 Living Coasts A guided tour of all the species at the centre with a specific focus on habitats A camouflage and self defence workshop Lunch at Seal Cove or the penguin amphitheatre

11 Exeter Cathedral An opportunity to visit one of Britain’s most spectacular places of worship A guided tour focussing on Christian pilgrimage and the expression of faith through art Pupils will create a stained glass window

12 @Bristol An innovative and imaginative Science Museum with interactive displays Data Heads workshop.

13 Cost and Bursaries The total coast of the trip is £277. This covers accommodation, travel, insurance, food and all entrance/activities. Families in special circumstances should approach Mr Browne or Ms Theaker as soon as possible to discuss payment/funding.
