7 Male Reproductive System Penis: male sex organ used for reproduction and urination Scrotum: a sac-like pouch that hold the testes. (regulate temperature) Testes: male reproductive gland that produces sperm. Seminiferous Tubules – part of the testes that produce the sperm Sperm: male reproductive cells Epididymis: place where sperm mature.

8 Male Reproductive System Vas Deferens: two long tubes that act as a passageway for sperm. Seminal Vesicles: two glands that secrete nourishing fluid & helps sperm to move Cowper’s Gland: Secretes a clear, lubricating fluid for sperm Prostate Gland: Gland that produces fluid to protect and keep sperm alive. Ejaculatory Duct: Short, strait tube that passes into the prostate gland and opens into the urethra.

9 Erection: penis swells with blood and elongates. Ejaculation: passage of semen from penis. (muscular contractions) Semen: sperm and fluids.
