Lisboa, 29th September 2005 2 To certify, a key-concept today In an open, complex and global economy the need for confidence is a necessity The aim of any certification procedure is to define, assess and make obvious the objective signs of the confidence Several criterias for being able to certify - independance of certifying entities - recognized competence and expertise - transparency and traceability of decisions - quality management

Lisboa, 29th September 2005 8 ADBS certification : some figures Since 1993 110 professionals certified - 24 assistants, - 27 techniciens-gestionnaires - 48 ingénieurs-managers, - 11 experts a careful experimentation in order to strictly control and assess choices 2002 : candidature for a new European project CERTIDoc with the aim to set up a full European certification system

Lisboa, 29th September 2005 10 The european certification system The Eurocertificate in I & D is delivered… …by a certifying body agreed by the consortium CERTIDoc, …for 4 levels of qualification (assistant, technician, manager, expert), …in view of the result of assessment with the Euroguide LIS (2004) …with a validity of 5 years
