7 Chinese club will have their group picture taken on Friday morning after announcements in the DP.

8 The Science Fiction and Fantasy Club will be meeting after school this Thursday, April 7th in Ms. Day’s room. The theme this week is New in Sci-Fi. As always, everyone is welcome to join and there will be food

9 Attention Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: The representative from Josten's will be in the Senior Study Area on Thursday, April 7th, during lunch periods to take orders for class rings.

10 Girls of Steel Congratulations to the Girls of Steel who did a great job at this past weekends Queen City Regional competition in Cincinnati, OH. They placed 12th in the qualifiers, 8th in the finals, and were the captains of our alliance. They are also the winners of the Engineering Inspiration Award. They will be moving on to the championships in St. Louis later this month.

11 A reminder that Michigan State University is coming to OC on Wednesday, April 6th during all the lunch periods. 12 Congratulations, Mary Beth Mary Beth Miller was nominated by the University of Pittsburgh to participate in 2016 Argument Forum. She will have the opportunity to collaborate with 13 other students to produce this argument for the students of the argumentation programs across the region. She will attend a planning meeting at the University of Pittsburgh on April 7th.

13 Last week the Oakland Catholic Track & Field Team Beat Woodland Hills and McKeesport. The scores were OC 87 Woodland Hills 54 and OC 124 Mckeesport 17. Oakland Catholic took 22 first place and nine second places out of 34 places. Congratulations Team. On Saturday, OC ran in the Mt Lebanon Invitational with only 12 runners and almost won the invitational. Lauren Finikiotis won the 1600 and 3200 meter races while olivia Rowe won the 100 Hurdles.. Great Job Ladies11111

14 Four Oakland Catholic students have qualified at the Keystone Regional Volleyball Association Tournament (held this past weekend ) to attend the USA Volleyball junior national tournament to be held in Indianapolis, IN at the end of June. Maura McConnell qualified with Pittsburgh Elite 18 Premier 1 team. Caroline Bain and Natalie Palastro qualified with the Pittsburgh Elite 17 Premier 1 team, and Moira Folan qualified with the Pittsburgh Elite 16 Premier 1 team. These OC student athletes will train for the next three months to continue a journey they begin in November which will end in four days of competition in Indianapolis at the Jr. National tournament. Congratulations!
