Executive Branch The purpose of the Executive branch is to carry out the laws. President Vice President Cabinet

What do you know... There are 14 cabinet positions President Theodore Roosevelt gave the “White House” its name in 1901. The President is responsible for appointing the cabinet.

LEGISLATIVE BRANCH The purpose of the Legislative branch is to write the bills. Congress House of Representatives Senate

What do you know... A representative serves 2 years. The Constitution got started in 1787. A bill has to go through the Congress to get to the President.

Judicial Branch The purpose of the Judicial branch is to explain and apply the laws. Supreme Court

What do you know... The Supreme Court was set up by the Constitution. The Supreme Court building is in Washington D.C. The Supreme Court was formed on February 2, 1790.
