2. Genesis 17:16- “I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of many nations, kings of people shall be of her.” Psalm 127, “Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them.”

3. Parents- "First they teach you to talk, then they teach you to walk. And as soon as you do it, it's sit down and shut up.“ "A baby is a small family member that makes love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, the bankroll smaller, the home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten and the future worth living for."

4. The Stepping Stones for Children Are you bringing your children to the Lord? Are you introducing them to Jesus? Are you telling them about Jesus-why he died on the cross?

5. "I'll tell you when I began to influence my daughter Christ-ward. I began twenty years before she was born by giving my-self to the saving and keeping power of Jesus Christ.“

6. The Stumbling Blocks to Jesus First of all, they wanted to protect Jesus. What they wanted was to see that Jesus was not bothered. – I’m thinking about the abortionists. – And I’m thinking of the child abusers. – I’m thinking of evil men who will take little children and use them as object in child pornography. – And I'm thinking of those who would take a little child and teach that child some terrible godless humanistic heresy - polluting a child's mind with lies. – I’m thinking of evil politicians and lobbying groups who want men to walk into public restrooms and use the bathroom where your daughters are. Shame on anyone who would condone such an idea!

7. "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones... it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

8. The Savior and Children "Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly" (Psalm 138:6). “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall off the ground without your Father's notice" (Matthew 10:29). “Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

9. Isaiah 40: “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”

10. The Splendor of Children Let me say that no one ever marched into the kingdom of God proudly. I've seen folks who were just too proud for their own good. – "Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished" (Proverbs 16:5). – "God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble" (James 4:6). – "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted" (Matthew 23:12).

11. Few adults are big enough to become little enough to be used of God. We need to humble ourselves as little children. We must of necessity become as children in our dependence. We must become as children in our pondering realization of the things of God.
