12. Clothing We budget $500 p/year on clothing. While we usually make purchases at discount stores such as Ross and Marshalls We occasionally find good buys at Goodwill and garage sales Average monthly clothing cost $42.00

13. Daycare $600 p/month ~ our child attends Happy Home daycare which offers some preschool activities in a home environment.

14. Savings & Checking ~ $400 Excess funds will remain in our checking and savings account We will use Safe Credit Union as their fees are lower than a bank. Becoming established with a credit union will allow us to get lower interest rates on any future loans. It is convenient because we can use most credit union ATM’s with no fees Our savings will be used in only times of crisis, and eventually for our retirement.

15. Investments We will work put $250 into the 401(K) program at work. My employer will match my contributions up to 3%.
