2 Randolph Central School Corporation Includes Franklin, Ward, and White River Townships, including the towns of Ridgeville and Saratoga, and the city of Winchester. Includes five schools: Deerfield Elementary School (K-5) Baker Elementary School (K-2) Willard Elementary School (3-5) Driver Middle School (6-8) Winchester Community High School (9-12)

4 Randolph Central School Corporation Current ADM is 1487 (with Kindergarteners as ½), averaging about 115-120 students per grade Governed by a five-member board: one each from Franklin Township, Ward Township, White River Township, and the City of Winchester, and one at-large Has 226 full-time employees and 22 part-time employees, including 117 teachers, 11 administrators, 4 counselors, covering K-12, a corporation nurse, and health aides in each building FY 2014 Budget is $14.1 million, including $10.4 million in the General Fund FY 2008 General Fund was $12.8 million

6 Academic/Extracurricular Offerings Winchester Community High School Early College emerging stage: 19 dual credit courses in 2014-15 with 57 hours through Ivy Tech and IU CTE programs: advanced manufacturing, construction trades (commercial), agriculture, FACS, business Curricular offerings: Spanish, German, environmental science, calculus, accounting, personal finance, sociology, honors/AP, STAR, resource room, self-contained special education Visual Arts: drawing, painting, ceramics Performing Arts: vocal music, concert band, jazz band, music keyboarding, theatre/drama Future Plans: expand Early College & CTE, and increase AP

8 WCHS, continued Technology: 1:1 initiative implemented in 2013 with iPads for all students; all teachers (K-12) have MacBooks Clubs: NHS, FFA, FCCLA, FCA, Key Club, STAND, Model Legislature, Art Club, Spanish Club, German Club, Intramurals, Color Guard, Marching Band (three state champions in last four years) Academic Teams (two state championships in last five years) Sports: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Wrestling, Baseball and Softball, Track, Cheerleading; WCHS teams have won sectionals in the last decade in boys’ basketball (5), girls’ basketball (7), tennis (2), and wrestling (1).

13 Since 2008, Randolph Central has spent more than $15 million on major facility improvements, affecting all school facilities. Winchester Community High School (1967) Science wing, auxiliary gymnasium, office renovations, and CTE wing renovations (2014-15); 76 security cameras in project Secured entrance (2013) Baseball field reconstruction (2012) Tennis courts replacement (2010) Air conditioning of academic wing (2010) New football bleachers, football field, and running track (2009) New roof (2008-09)

Willard Elementary School (1971) Total roof replacement in 2011; other cosmetic improvements in 2011, 2014. 17 Vocational Offerings WCHS offers the following vocational/CTE courses on site: accounting, adult roles and responsibilities, advanced manufacturing I & II, animal sciences, child development, construction trades, consumer economics, ICE, interpersonal relationships, natural resources, landscaping, nutrition and wellness, introduction to manufacturing, and college and careers.

18 Vocational Offerings Randolph Central participates in the Muncie Area Career Center, busing participating students to Muncie. Courses available at MACC include: automotive services, construction trades (homes), cosmetology, criminal justice, dental careers, fire rescue, health sciences, Project Lead the Way (engineering and biomedical), web and digital communications, and welding

23 Educational Quality Indicators Randolph Central is an A-rated district. ISTEP+ scores are above state average in all four areas. ISTEP+ scores in 2014 are the highest in Randolph Central history. Randolph Central provides the broadest continuum of special education services.
