1 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. 19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives and Husbands 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

3 18 The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2

4 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

5 19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Colossian 3:19

6 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Gen 2:24

7 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30

8 16 It(Wisdom) will save you also from the adulteress (strange woman), from the wayward wife (foreign woman) with her seductive words, 17 who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God. 18 For her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead. 19 None who go to her return or attain the paths of life. Prov 2

9 6 Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find? Prov 20:6

10 13 A foolish son is his father’s ruin, and a quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.19:13 9 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife. 21:9 19 Better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and ill-tempered wife. 21:19 15 A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day; 16 restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand. 27:15-16 29 A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays folly. 14:29 18 A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. 15:18

11 Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.” Genesis 3:16(b) 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. Prov 31

12 4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. Prov 12:4 22 Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion. Prov 11:22 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. Prov 31:11-12
