10 Seminars: Option 1 Live seminars Content: Posts are on topic and contribute to the quality of the seminar Participation: Frequent interaction on concepts being discussed by students and instructor Attendance: Student arrives on time and stays the entire seminar

11 Seminars: Option 2 Due at the end of the unit Content: Response is on topic, original, and contributes to the quality of the discussion. Participation: Response makes frequent, informed references to unit material Mechanics: Grammar and spelling is correct and meets minimum word requirement

12 Discussion Requirements Content: Clear connections and references to previous and/or current unit materials with career related examples, posts are on topic and contributes to the quality of the discussion and makes reference to course readings, unit materials or other relevant sources Participation: Student answers all questions, meaningfully responds to classmates 2+ times and promotes continued discussion with responses to classmates that add value by advancing the group’s discussion Mechanics: Grammar and spelling is correct and meets minimum word requirement

22 Week 1 Project : Autobiography In a 1-2 page essay, using APA format please discuss: Where you grew up (e.g. big city, rural, suburban) and the educational setting in which you participated (e.g. public school, private school, parochial school, home school). Describe these in as much detail as possible, giving specific examples. What events influenced your beliefs and values concerning education? Have you had any family members or mentors who were important in shaping your education and future goals?

23 Week 1 Project : Autobiography You should use the template provided for your project. Your paper should be 1-2 pages long, typed, double-spaced and in a 12-point font size (Arial or Times New Roman). You must include a title page (and references if used), but this does not count in the 1-2 page guidelines.
