10. How many sides does a box have?

11. What if we put an object in an imaginary glass box?

12. There would be 6 ways to view an object. You could look from each of those sides!

13. We see views by placing the object in an imaginary glass box.

14. Drawings of views look like this.

15. *We draw what we see as solid lines, called OBJECT LINES. *We draw what we cannot see as broken lines, called HIDDEN LINES.

16. Circles are drawn with CENTER LINES inside, extending outside the hole. Drilled holes are drawn as HIDDEN LINES with CENTER LINES inside them, extending outside the surface.

17. Most of the time, three views give you the information you need, to make a full drawing.
