2 Mirae Energy Asia Corporation (MAEC) Pursuant to RA 9513 or the Renewable Energy Act of 2008, Mirae Energy Asia Corporation was established and registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) in July 2011 as a Renewable Energy (RE) Developer with its first project in Currimao, Ilocos Norte. Developments and Status of the Project MAEC applied with the DOE as an RE Developer last October 2011 and the Service Contract of MAEC was issued by DOE in September 2012 (SESC No. 2012-08-020) MAEC has concluded a Long Term Lease Agreement (25 Years) with Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN) for the use of the project site. MAEC has completed the detailed design of the plant is together with the Transmission line design. MAEC has secured the concurrence of the host LGUs for their support to the project in the form of Provincial, Municipal and Barangay Board Resolutions respectively. MAEC has secured the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC)for the project from Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR). MAEC has secured the Certificate of no Overlap (CNO) from the National Commission of Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) MAEC has completed the Grid Impact Study (GIS) and is discussing with NGCP for the Transmission Service Agreement (TSA) and Connection Agreement (CA). MAEC has registered the project with the Board of Investments (BOI) for Incentives. MAEC has submitted the Declaration of Commerciality (DOC) to DOE under the Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) scheme on 5 th March 2013.

9 Benefits of the Project to the Host LGU Mirae Energy Asia Corporation shall give government share ~ of one-percent (1%) of its gross revenue to the government, distributed as follows: (Per Rule 7, Section 20 of RA 9513) o 60%- National Government o 40%- Host LGU: Prov’l Government (20%), City/Municipality (45%) & Barangay (35%) Host LGU share is directly paid to the Provincial, Municipality or Barangay Treasurer, on a quarterly basis within five (5) days after the end of every quarter, which is an additional source of income to the province, municipality and barangay apart from appropriate taxes paid from the commercial operation of the project. The company would hire qualified personnel from the host locality to operate and maintain the Plant. The area can be envisioned by the Host Local Government to become one of the provincial tourist showcases, similar to the existing wind mill power plant in Bangui, Ilocos Norte. This envisioned development of tourism industry in the project site will in turn result to multiplier effects that will generate various livelihood in the area and subsequently upgrade the quality of life of the municipal folks. Also, Mirae Asia Energy Corporation, will join hands with the LGU on its Tree Planting activity under the auspices of DENR.
