2 Opportunities to shadow engineers and/or leaders – RG Team Could be a formal connection using an online database or tool; or informal opportunities at the section through Society level Bridge to the mentor/mentee connections in our leadership pipeline Mentoring Programs? Collective Wisdom Groups – peer to peer - LCC Joint conferences/webinars/events with other technical or diversity societies, or with corporate partners – HQ Potential to partner with events such as IEEE Women in Engineering International Conference or individual corporate women's network events. Conferences based on a certain topic, either virtually or in person – GradSWE & Entrepreneur – HQ & Senate Strategic Interests Opportunity for members with similar interests to gather, versus gathering based only on geographic region Similar to the Online Career Development Conference held this year or NSBE’s Aerospace Conference Program Gaps Page 2

3 TEDx SWE presentations – Peter to investigate Bridge from the great content already in the webinars or conference presentations Could host at the Society level, virtually, or as region events Virtual rapid fire presentations – RG to discuss as a best practice Similar to rapid fire sessions at annual and regional conferences; each presenter has a time limit (5 min, 10 min) Utilizing the SWE Youtube channel – HQ / Branding Posting portions of webinars, short videos, etc. The committee discussed the idea of posting some of the lighting talks from the annual conference, but also considered that many of those talks are sold as part of the virtual conference Conference publications to accompany presentations or other ways to recognize presenters, especially those from academia – CPB & HQ to work on eBook/Conference Programming - Peter to investigate peer review process Presentation Method Gaps Page 3

4 Adapting current professional excellence content to better fit specific member groups – Jessica & LCC –International members –Collegiate members –Academic members The committee feels that much of our current content is great, and with a few tweaks or additions, could be made even more applicable to these different types of members Opportunities for sharing best practices for planning & execution of region conferences – RG Team Curriculum Content Gaps Page 4

5 Method to submit potential webinar topics and/or speakers to HQ – HQ – learning@swe.org Increased utilization and coordination between SWE blogs; a method for sharing best practices for blogging – Curriculum Committee & Karen for blog feed Improvements in how professional excellence offerings are advertised Method for members to opt in to specific email distributions – db upgrade required – timeframe tbd Communication checklist: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, email, SWE website, blog, etc. – verify with Kelly Feedback and Marketing Page 5
