2  Hyacinth macaws are found in savannah grasslands  Dry thorn forests called “caatingas” are the common areas where hyacinth macaws are found in Brazil, Boliva, and Paraguay. Habitat/Niche Bolivia Brazil Paraguay

6 Hyacinth macaws are primary consumers because they only eat nuts, native palms, leaves, grass and other varieties of plants. They are not producers. Consumer/Producer Macaw fits here

7 The hyacinth macaw is endangered.  Humans have been using hyacinth macaws for illegal pet trade - In 1980 about 10,000 hyacinth macaws had been removed from the wild.  They are losing their habitats due to deforestation. Threats/Human Interactions

13 Hyacinth Macaws have feathers and hollow bones to help them fly, very strong beaks to break hard food, and claws and feet that help macaws grip onto branches. Adaptations

14 Butterfly Species? The hyacinth macaw is a butterfly species because it plays a major role in a food web. If hyacinth macaws are gone, then pythons, jaguars, and tigers which are predators of hyacinth macaws will eventually disappear.
