1 A survival guide against pirates By: Andrew Kochinka

2 About Pirates  A lot of people think Pirates are smugglers, greedy, vicious, dirty, and rotten… they are right. These people that live on boats on the High Seas are cruel and greedy. They battle not for fame and glory, wait, maybe glory, but for gold, territory like towns and seas, and rum. Rum, rum, rum.

3 cannons and other weapons  Pirate’s use a lot of weapons, and when up in sword-to-sword combat, they pull dirty tricks out from their sleeves. Dirty fighting, they’ll pull out a musket and….. BOOM! Don’t EVER try to do sword-to-sword fighting against pirates, or you can. Sometimes it never happens, but it’s a gamble…. And when two ships are sailing near each other, the main weapon are cannons, or sometimes they will board your ship and start fighting with swords while your ship is getting blasted to bits by cannons. cannons and other weapons

4 Ship combat When battling against Pirates, there are a lot of tactics to win. You can board their ship and distract the captain by fighting and getting rid of all crewmembers, then go back to your boat and sink that swaggy. Or you can board the ship and take their gold THEN blast that swaggy to Davy Jones’ Locker. Or you can board their ship and take it over, so it belongs to you. But don’t challenge ships that are bigger than yours, or if they have more followers, pirates, or a crew or WHATEVER you want to call them. If you are still recruiting more pirates onto your dinghy*, don’t EVEN BOTHER to do anything I just said (or typed about). Now, this chapter, or lesson, is over and you’ve learned everything to keep your vessel in one piece. *a dinghy is a small lifeboat* When battling against Pirates, there are a lot of tactics to win.
